Recent Reading

I have been really blessed by the time I have gotten to read with Addison in the past couple of months. We have been reading different Narnia novels. We started with the Dawn Treader (in honor of the recent movie) and then moved on to The Horse and His Boy (because there is a talking horse, obviously) and now we are reading through the Silver Chair. Addison picked this last one because of the "snake" on the cover. Her words were that "This should be a movie. That snake would be so cool!". But it has been a little slow moving for her. She really wants to get to the part about the snake.

On Tuesday (March 1st), Addison surprised me by wanting to read to me. We have been reading Dr. Seuss's There is a Wocket in My Pocket off and on lately. She says its her favorite (which doesn't mean as much as you would think). But on that night she read it to me. She was telling it by picture memory, but she did an amazing job. It was a very proud moment for me and an exciting step developmentally. Soon (too soon?) I suppose we shall be reading together for real.
