Had a late night last night. Addison was barely hangin on when we got to the door. We usually prep her all the way in so she can just lay down and go to sleep when we have a night like that. I carried her up the stairs and started to lower her into bed when she asked about reading a book, part of our evening ritual. The converation went like this.
"Dad, can we read a book?"
"No, hon, it is way too late."
"Can we read a Bible story?"
"Not tonight, if you ask mom she will read you one in the morning."
"But dad, God says we are suppose to read the Bible in the morning and at night, everyday."
"...ok, one Bible story."
What is one to do when she is practically quoting Scripture to me?
6 "And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today.7 Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up." Deut 6:6-7 (NLT)
