silver shoes & other things

Addison's new shoes...well, they were new a few weeks ago. (and had even more sparkles on them; she left a disco-ball like trail where ever she went for a while)

There was snow!. (if you look really close you can see the white dots, click on the picture, it gets bigger) So what if it only snowed for 5 minutes and didn't stick, we had snow in November in Portland! Addison liked it, or she was just happy to be outside. :)

We went to the Festival of Trees for the first time this year. My sister works at Providence Hospital and volunteered in the Teddy Bear Hospital, so she had free tickets. We decided to go, and had fun. We looked at decorated trees, saw some of a kids theater presentation and took Addison through the Teddy Bear Hospital. The idea was you get a bear, then take it through the 'hospital' by stopping at different stations. The first station after admitting was bandages, and there was quite a back-up. Kids were getting ears, legs, arms and sometimes a combination bandaged. So we skipped that table (a one year old does not have the patience of a 12 year old). Addison helped put the diaper on the bear and watched it get a stitch in it's nose. She wasn't very interested in the bear before, but after she wanted to carry it. Also, when the nurse asked if she wanted a shot for the bear, she pulled it quickly back. I don't think she knew what the question was, but it was good timing anyway. I think the whole thing is a great idea to help kids be familiar with the hospital.

14 months - you always see the front of her head, so here's the back (which is pretty much all I see of her all day). Her hair is getting longer, and has a lot of static electricity. This is a good day. :)
